Lakeside Casino

Lakeside is one of those old & established casinos that the locals love. It’s small & comfortable, and it’s located about a half mile east of the strip. That makes it the closest casino to our South Lake Tahoe rental homes & condos located in the Kingsbury Grade vicinity. Lakeside also the home of the Timber House Restaurant, and the Tavern Sports Bar which has 32 TV’s and open 24 hours a day.

Harvey’s Casino

Harvey’s boasts a 52,000 square foot gaming space with 2090 gaming machines and 180 tables. Plenty of gaming action regardless of your preference. Harvey’s also has 4 restaurants, and 2 coffee shops including a Starbucks. There is a huge outdoor concert area behind the casino that hosts shows from top performers like: James Taylor, Steely Dan, Sheryl Crow, Luis Miguel, Alan Jackson, and more.

Montbleu Casino

The Montbleu took over from the long standing Caesar’s Casino at Tahoe. It has world class entertainment and extensive gaming, as well as a fully equipped health spa, four distinctive restaurants, and club Nero — one of Tahoe’s hottest all-night dance clubs. For sport and race gambling action, Montbleu’s race and sports book offers pari-mutual wagering.

Harrah’s Casino

This is probably the most popular casino on the Tahoe Strip today. Harrah’s is owned by the same company as Harvey’s and Bill’s, so they all use the same membership cards and are similar in gaming choice. Live entertainment is available at both the South Shore Room, Vex Nightclub, and the Casino Center Stage. Some of these shows are for “Adults Only”, but there is also an aerial act, music, and comedy as well.

Horizon Casino

The final large casino is the Horizon, located in the middle of the strip with plenty of slots and tables to choose from. The Horizon has the popular Aspen Lounge with live music & dancing. The convention center at the Horizon will sometimes host big entertainment shows & concerts. The Horizon Stadium Cinemas is located in lower level of the casino is the only multiplex movie theater in South Lake Tahoe, showing all the latest blockbusters.
