The area has hosted the Olympics, countless professional competitions on a yearly basis, and has some of the most exhilarating and heart pounding slopes available anywhere. Lake Tahoe is situated in the High Sierras, one of the snowiest regions in North America.

Heavenly Ski Resort

The closest skiing to South Lake Tahoe is Heavenly Ski Resort, the oldest and arguably best mountain in the area. Rising over ten thousand feet above Tahoe’s south shore and harboring the tallest summit of any resort in the area, Heavenly is known for plentiful snow and sunny days. Offering 27 lifts and over 80 runs, convenience and opportunity are hand in hand. Heavenly offers a variety of runs, from a novice beginner’s hill, to a 5 mile advanced course. Over 30 feet of snow falls in Heavenly a season!

For Snowboarders, Heavenly is considered one of the best free riding resorts in America. For over 10 years Heavenly has welcomed thousands of eager snowboarders to their slopes, and if you ask any of them they will tell you that it is hard to find anywhere better for carving the best ride Tahoe has to offer!

Heavenly is FULL of attractions year around. In the winter, bring the whole family for cross country skiing, tubing, sledding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and snowbiking. In the summer, hike, bike, try the slingshot ride and experience endless events all over the mountain.

Heavenly - California

Did you know that Heavenly is so large that overlaps two states? Yes, it’s true. It occupies thousands of acres in both California and Nevada! The California side is the closest skiing to our South Tahoe Rental Homes located in the areas of Stateline, Lower Kingsbury, Zephyr Cove, Round Hill, and Cave Rock. There’s a convenient gondola with a public parking garage located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe’s Stateline area. The 12-minute gondola trip up the mountain is an experience of it’s own - with unbelievable views of Lake Tahoe.

Heavenly - Nevada

If you stay in one of our South Tahoe Condos on top of Kingsbury, you’ll be even closer to the Heavenly Ski Action. There are two Heavenly lodges located in the middle of the popular South Tahoe Condo complexes at the top of Kingbury Grade. From these lodges you’ll have access to Heavenly’s Stagecoach & Boulder lodges that have chairlifts straight to the top of the mountain. This is a place many locals will go to escape the downtown crowds. Parking is plentiful, and these lodges are within walking distance from many of our Luxury Rental Condos.
